Golden Jubilee! Deeper Life Bible Church Celebrates 50th Anniversary – See Photos!
It’s all joy in the Deeper Life Bible Church, as it marked its 50th anniversary on Sunday with a global service at its headquarters in Gbagada, Lagos.
Pastor Williams Kumuyi, who is the founder of the church narrated how the church began from its infancy stage in 1973 said the denomination started with just 15 members at his house in Flat 2, Faculty of Education Campus, University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.
In his 50th anniversary message, “Marching Forward with Fresh Vision into the Future Destiny,” Pastor Kumuyi, stressed the need for the church to march forward in propagating the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with courage, using the right compass.
“50 years have come and gone and there’s a new start, a new platform to rise higher and go beyond everything we have ever done. We come with a new heart, new devotion, new consecration, and new demonstration of deeper love for Christ in Jesus name.”
The 30,000 capacity auditorium of the Deeper Life Bible Church’s headquarters, was filled to capacity. Those who could not gain entrance into the auditorium stayed outside.
The celebration was spiced with eulogies, official unveiling of the Deeper Life Bible as well as the unveiling of Deeper Life @ 50 logo, documentaries on how the church started.
One of the major highlights of the celebration service were the launch of a book titled “Deeper Life: The Pursuit of Heaven’s Goal,” a promo for the first Deeper Life Study Bible in collaboration with the Bible Society of Nigeria.
