ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; FRIDAY 9TH FEBRUARY, 2024.

TEXT: ROMANS 10: 16 - 21.

 

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: AN IMPORTANT GIFT FROM GOD.

We have already heard how God chose the Israelites to be His special people. They were very strict in their religion, which is obedience to the law of Moses. That is, those who try to ensure their salvation through righteous deeds. Paul in our reading is sad because they refused to accept the gospel of Christ (verse 16). 

Today, as true followers of Christ, we have the mandate to bring the gospel to all people, including Jews. That is why we long to see those who have not escaped from death to eternal life, to hear about the salvation that God has wrought for them through Jesus Christ. 

They are living in darkness and worshiping idols; the Lord God wants them to hear about the LOVE that He has towards them to this day. Let's go and tell them by giving ourselves or our resources/money, and praying that God will turn them back to Him. 

We should not leave the work of preaching the gospel to a few, but let's go into it because no one can call on the name of Jesus if he does not believe. One can only believe when someone tells him about the gift of salvation that God gave him through Christ Jesus. 

Sadly, many people today do not care about preaching the gospel. Their priority is pursuing things of the world. They abandon the work that God left for us. This is wrong.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Bring the lost to Jesus for salvation.

PRAYER: O Lord God, I am begging You, strengthen me to spread the Good News of Your salvation to the world in the name of Jesus, Amen.
