ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; THURSDAY 29TH FEBRUARY, 2024.
TEXT: ROMANS 16: 17 - 27.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: GREETINGS WITH EXHORTATION.
Today we have come to the end of the study of the Apostle Paul's letter to the followers of Christ in the city of Rome. He warned them about the nature of the rift and the conflict that had risen between them. He advised them to be careful with the way they live with each other.
He noticed that some of them began to derail from the Word of God, they WANT to follow some false teachings. This made him very worried. But since it didn't happen, he warned them because he knows the damage attached with these kinds of teachings in different places.
Even today, like in Paul's time, there are many wicked, ungodly people who try to enslave those who fear God. In an effort to achieve their goals, they do teach different gospel. Their sermon is always about PROSPERITY, there is no talk of REPENTANCE, let alone salvation.
They established meeting places and ministries in different places causing confusion to the body of Christ. Because there is no fear of God in their hearts, and the souls of a people is nothing to them than that of an animal; they lead many to destruction, giving charity to Satan with human blood.
Eating and drinking ungodly things, etc. This is according to them is a better way of life. Brethren, like the Romans, we must distance ourselves from such wicked people because their reward is a painful punishment.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Evil is a great danger.
PRAYER: O Lord God, I am begging you, separate me from the wicked, in the name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
