ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; WEDNESDAY 28TH FEBRUARY, 2024.
TEXT: ROMANS 15 : 22 - 33.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: FOLLOW GOD'S WILL IN ACTION.
The apostle Paul had set his heart to go to the followers of Christ in Rome, but due to some reasons this was not possible, but the desire did not leave his heart. One of the reasons that prevented him from coming was that the Romans had already heard the gospel more than other people.
That's why he saw the need to go to places they haven't heard of Christ yet. Because he spent several years in his ministry with the Romans, he decided to go to Spain before coming back to Rome to fulfill his desire for the followers here.
This shows his intention to bring the good news to the Romans. So, brothers, what is our goal regarding this great work that God has entrusted to us? Paul preached for people to repent; he did not give himself a break. It is good for us to accept this as our goal, which is to take the gospel to the lost.
Nowadays people are corrupt, they are going down to destruction and they don't care what happens. They are now like the people of Noah's day, Sodom and Gomorrah who were weakened by sin. Today, sin is rampant in our country.
For example, betrayal and dishonesty, hatred, abuse, shedding the blood of the poor, witchcraft and so on.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: God's judgment is coming.
PRAYER: O Lord God, I am asking you to separate our country from the behavior of the Sodomites in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
