ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET TUESDAY 27TH FEBRUARY, 2024
TEXT: ROMANS 15:14-21
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: OUR BOASTING IS IN CHRIST.
The followers of Christ in the city of Rome are also diligent and kind. They are always working with to improve, help, guide and strengthen each other in the Lord because the teachings of Paul have penetrated them.
They became patient to do the work of God that would be accepted by the rest of the nations. Today in the study, we heard that people gave God a sacrifice, that is their hearts because He owned them. They accepted the Word of God and received the sanctification by the Holy Spirit.
This is the greatest need for all followers of Christ today. The dedication and commitment of the inhabitants of Rome pleased Paul and made him proud in the Lord because all he wanted was to do something that would satisfy his Lord. With that, he left a good example for us.
What is our pride today? Let's follow the example of Paul who suffered for the work of spreading the gospel. He even said that evangelizing is a MUST for him, and if he doesn't do it, then a curse would follow him (I Cor. 9:18).
Today there are many ways of boasting, but brothers, boasting in Christ Jesus is the best. Let us ask God to give us the power to do His work.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Our boasting is in Christ.
PRAYER: O Lord God, I am begging you, help me to know that Jesus Christ is my pride, Amen.
