ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; WEDNESDAY 14TH FEBRUARY, 2024.
TEXT: ROMANS 12: 9 - 12.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: REPAY EVIL WITH GOOD.
Today's reading clearly tells us that it is POSSIBLE to make peace with EVERYONE. If it all the followers of Christ would live in peace like in our reading, the world would be conquered such that there would be peace everywhere. But what is happening among believers today?
Unfortunately, many times some people are happy when they see someone going through a difficult situation. Even wishing evil for one another and saying namesis has caught up with him. Some people even feel sad when good things happen to someone else because it did not happen to them instead.
It does not stop there, some will be happy, but not from the heart. Some even today will show signs of being surprised if one is bereaved, but they are happy in their hearts. Believers in Christ, we should not have this bad attitude.
The word of God commands us to be happy with those who are happy, and to grieve with those who are in trouble (Rom. 12: 15). Because of this, it is good to consider this warning, and take it very seriously. We should not allow some small things to cause us to lose our love for one another.
Let us love each other with a sincere heart as Christ loved us. Let's EXAMINE our lives and actions, especially our relationships with each other.

PRAYER: O Lord God, I am begging You, help me to do Your will alone in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
