ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; FRIDAY 2ND FEBRUARY, 2024.
TEXT: LEVITICUS 10: 8 - 20.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE.
All over the world, every job has its own rules on how it should be done because everything should be done correctly, otherwise everyone will do what they want. Apart from the rules, there are qualities that every employee should have.
This is the reason why God commanded Aaron and his sons to refrain from drinking wine or alcohol. If you fail to follow this law, death is inevitable. The law does not apply only to them but to their descendants and us today.
God allowed them to eat what was left of the burnt offering in the Holy place, but without leaven. Unfortunately, the rest of Aaron's sons, namely Eleazar and Itamar, like Nadab and Abihu, did not pay attention to obey God's command (verse 16).
This act of theirs made Moses upset. But their father, realizing his gult, said something that made Moses happy, and Moses agreed with him (verse 20). Brethren, every time we sin, it is good to acknowledge our sins, not to bring excuses like Adam and Eve (Gen. 3: 12 - 14).
Seeking to blame others is wrong, and it will not save us. God is always pleased with the one who admits his guilt and asks for forgiveness. Dear ministers of God and public leaders, take note of this, and do the right thing every time you make a mistake.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Self justification does not prevent death.
PRAYER: Oh Lord God, bless the name of Christ and help me to trust in Your leadership always, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
