Wisdom For The Day Devotional 24 January 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Give Yourself To Prayers
TOPIC: Give Yourself To Prayers (TREM Devotional 24 January 2024)
“…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 (KJV)
Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:
The world is changing daily, and so fast that if care is not taken, you will be carried away by the changes happening. The only way to stand firm and stay in charge is to give yourself to prayers. The place of prayers cannot be overemphasized. The Apostles declared: “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.” Acts 6:4 (KJV). The book of Luke 18:1 tells us “…that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (KJV).
Prayer works! Prayer turns situations around. Every believer should be involved in intensive prayers. When I checked out Jesus, I saw a lifestyle of prayers. Do you think that the devil will allow you to break through just like that? Don’t you understand that the devil does not want you to penetrate the corridors of power? Your prayers and intercession are the only way to break through that seal.
Prayer is not old school; prayer is not old fashioned. You must deploy the weapon of prayers against the powers of darkness who don’t want you to break through in that place where God has planted you. Be persistent in your prayers! Stay there and say even if I perish, let me perish.
What price are you paying in your domain? When last did you declare a fast? When last did you say I won’t eat until something breaks? A drastic situation requires drastic action. The seal of the wicked over your life must be broken. The enemy has no legal right to put a lid on your life. You can grow beyond where you are. You can progress beyond where you are. You must give yourself to prayer to make it happen!
