ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; WEDNESDAY 31ST JANUARY, 2024.

TEXT: LEVITICUS 9: 1 - 14.

 

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: AARON OFFERED THE SACRIFICE.

We have already heard the act of offering sacrifices not for anyone but the one chosen by God. Aaron and his sons were excluded because of this. But before they were set apart, Aaron and Moses used to do the service. Later, God ordered him to entrust the work to Aaron and his sons. 

Moses obeyed. Today he ordered Aaron to bring an unblemished CALF and also a LAMB because of the sin offering and the Burnt offering to hand over to the Lord. The people are not allowed to bring HE-Goat and a one-year-old calf to sacrifice for the sin of burning. 

Here we see that anyone who is going to offer an offering to God must first purify himself. Aaron, although he was set apart, was not an angel, he was unclean. So did his children and all the Israelites. Aaron's meat and animal skins were burned outside the city. 

This gives us a picture of what will be done in the future, that is how Christ Jesus was crucified outside the city, behind the walls of Jerusalem. There, our human sins are removed. Because of this, today you should throw away your bad habits and actions because you have seen the Lord in your life. 

Only then will you receive His mercy and success.
