ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; THURSDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2024.
TEXT: PSALM 79: 1 - 13.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: JERUSALEM WAS DESTROYED.
The author of this psalm, that is King David, said that the sins of the Israelites were the reason that God gave them to their enemies who destroyed Jerusalem. This really hurt David.
This is the reason he repents, prays, and asks God to save them, not because of their righteousness, but because of His greatness. David's faithfulness is a great lesson that we must consider. Every time we face a problem, the best thing is to go to God, cry to Him, and show Him our sorrow because He has promised that if we call, He will hear and show us great things that we do not know (Jer. 33: 3).
We know that God's ears are not so heavy that He won't listen or answer us. It's a pity, in this generation, if the followers of Christ get into a little trouble, they will become discouraged. They do deny His power and go to visit witches, magicians and secret societies for help.
Brethren, there are no gods in the whole world that can help or meet our needs. Come to Jesus today because everything in heaven and on earth is under Him.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Christ is the only one who supply and meet our desires.
PRAYER: Lord God, I am begging You, help me, to repent, to be sorrowful because of my sins, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
