ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; MONDAY 29TH JANUARY, 2024.
TEXT: LEVITICUS 8: 1 - 17.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: EXCLUSION OF THE PRIEST.
The work of service is very valuable. And everyone who is interested in the work chooses a good thing (1 Tim. 1: 1) but not as easy as some people think. And not everyone will do it except the one whom God has chosen and set aside.
In today's study, Moses separated Aaron and his sons in front of the people, and he bathed them, that is, he purified them (verses 6 and 10) for this important work. In other words, they should always be pure and clean in heart and body so that they can serve the Holy God.
Then he anointed them with anointing oil as well as the tent where they would do the work. This is a picture of the kind of HOLYNESS that God needs. Not only the holiness of work, but also of their bodies and their MIND where the Holy Spirit resides.
Brothers and sisters, even if it is a joke, we should not do something that will defile us and separate us from the Lord God. Today there are many ministry workers whom the Lord has not called, let alone anointed for his work. Such workers we will see in their service there is no Spirit of God. They are just cute and anointed puppies.
Because of this, it is good to be careful with them, because those who want honor and glory are like the Pharisees.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: I was set aside to proclaim the Gospel of Christ.
PRAYER: O Lord God, I am asking You to help me to be faithful in Your work in the name of Jesus, Amen.
