ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; THURSDAY 11TH JANUARY, 2024.
TEXT: 1 JOHN 1: 1 - 10.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: THERE IS FORGIVENESS FOR SIN.
Today's reading goes from the Old Testament to the New Testament, where the prophet John assured us that there is one who was there from the beginning. He heard it, saw it with his eyes and touched it with his hands, about the word of life (verse 1).
There is no doubt that this statement is a reference to Christ Jesus is the Way, the truth and the Life (JOHN 14: 6). it is this life that brings us today into relationship with the Father and His Son, that is Christ Jesus (verse 3). In the fellowship.
If we walk in the light, there is no doubt that we will have many blessings. Since Christ is the Light, let us walk in Him because His blood has cleansed us from all unrighteousness (verse 7), that is, He has forgiven us all our sins.
Brethren, we need to acknowledge every day, that we are sinners, we have fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3: 23). If we do this, God will really be pleased with us and even forgive us our bad deeds. Brothers, we should not allow the Antichrist to deceive us, let us not deceive ourselves that we are not sinners.
But let's confess them, get rid of them and in this way, we will get God's mercy and forgiveness (Prov. 28: 13).
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Confession of sin brings healing.
PRAYER: Oh Lord God, I am begging You, help me to confess my sins because You can forgive me, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
