ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; FRIDAY 22ND DECEMBER, 2023.

TEXT: JEREMIAH 4: 19 - 31.

 

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: DISHONESTY CAUSES SUFFERING.

We have already heard that the Israelites were not faithful in walking with the Lord. They committed idolatry, so the Lord decided to punish them. 

In today's study, the prophet Jeremiah reveals the intensity of his fearings about the coming judgment of the Lord. God's people see, but they are stubborn, they have no heart of repentance. This lack of repentance moved the Lord to judge the world and the nation of Israel. 

That is to say, He will destroy all the pride of Israel, and it will be an abomination to the people. Brothers, we need to considered this statement because every country and its inhabitants are full of such foolishness, lack of fear of God, selfishness, leading them to go through a lot of hardship. 

Today there are many countries in the world, including ours, that people live a life of godlessness without thinking there is death. The evils they do blinds them from seeing the glory and glory of God, so much so that demons are more feared than God. 

For the wars and the bloodshed of the poor and the oppression of widows and orphans and other vices has coused the land to be defiled. Let us return to the Lord to receive His mercy, be honest and only then will we avoid His coming wrath.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The fear of the Lord will give us peace.
