ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET; THURSDAY 21ST DECEMBER, 2023.
TEXT: JEREMIAH 4: 13 - 18.
SPIRITUAL FOCUS: THE LORD GOD HATES EVIL.
Yesterday we heard Jeremiah exhort the Israelites to turn to the Lord and purify themselves so as to escape the fierce anger of Him. Today the people of Israel are stubborn and refuse to obey.
They did not want to give up their sin, they were ready to give up the Lord, which was their nature. Rebellion is a crime that Jehovah hates. We see Israel's rebellion and we have this same bad attitude of disobedience to the Lord, and doing things that He does not want us to do.
What He loves, we do not do as His followers. The Lord tells us to be the salt and the light of of the world (Matt. 5: 13, 14), but instead of light, our actions darken the world. Instead of being salt, we have become bitter, making the world rot and stink.
As a result, the Lord turned His back on us, and we become slaves, obeying Satan's commands. Today in this country the followers of Christ are no longer honored because they have lost their dignity, they have become beggars. Let us stand up, let us be separate from the world, let us be the light of Christ. When the earth is full of wickedness, if undoubtedly brings out the wrath of God.
If that happens then disaster would come because God's blessing would be lost, and the consequences would be dissatisfaction. Today our country which is full of natural resources is in dire straits, its people have become poor beggars because of the brutality of the rulers, the traitors.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The wrath of God is coming upon the ungodly.
PRAYER: Lord God, I beg You to help me to be prayerful for the salvation of the lost in the name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
