Opinion Contrasts As Reno Omokri Responds To Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s Speech On Israel-Hamas War
-Israel-Hamas War – Pastor Enoch Adeboye Backs Israel To Victory
Many have criticized, while others have stood with Pastor Enoch Adeboye, as he backed Israel in the ongoing war between the country and Hamas, an Islamic Resistance Movement.
Speaking on the ongoing war, Adeboye posted a video via his social media page, where he addressed the whole situation.
He noted that God would grant the nation of Israel victory and this war would end the disruption of peace in Israel.
“My beloved Brothers in Israel, I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeem Christian Church of God are standing by you at this critical moment. The Almighty God, the Holy One of Israel, will give you absolute victory and permanent peace in Jesus’ Name. Amen. It is going to be well with you.
“This war will be the war that will be the end of all war in Israel. From now on, it will be peace and progress, and no one will ever again disrupt the peace of Israel”.
Reacting to the comment, Reno Omokri faulted Adeboye’s comment, insisting that a greater percentage of Palestinians are Christians than the Israeli population.
He tweeted, “But, sir @PastorEAAdeboye, what about our brothers and sisters in Palestine? A greater percentage of Palestinians are Christians than the Israeli population. Half a million of them, to be precise. Doesn’t the Bible, in Galatians 6:10, ask us to first show love to members of the household of faith before others? Perhaps they may feel abandoned that your message did not even mention them. If I were a Palestinian and saw your message, I would sink into further despair.
“Acts 10:34 says God does not show partiality. But sir, are we not being partial when we pray for Israel and ignore Palestine? Perhaps it is an oversight.
“Sir, I have been to Palestine. I will not wish their condition on my own enemy. They are God’s children, too. Don’t they deserve our love and prayers and every possible non-military support we can rouse to alleviate their tremendous human suffering?”
Some have critize Reno Omokri forhis comment while some media outlet asserted that the former presidential aide “blasted” the General Overseer. He clarified that he was. not trying to be disrespectful to the man of God and cautioned the media outlet. Pastor Enoch Adeboye has since deleted the post.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas has escalated, resulting in total military warfare in the Gaza Strip since last Saturday.
The war has also claimed over 2,000 lives, according to a report from Humanitarian Bodies.
