SPIRITUAL FOCUS: SPIRITUAL CIRCUMCISION
The Jews, God's chosen people, boasted about circumcision. This troubled the early followers of Christ. The Jews practiced it according to tradition, but this was not the case with other nations. Circumcision is not a separate religion from Judaism.
In today's reading, the Apostle Paul wrote to the Roman followers that circumcision and uncircumcision are one and the same thing if one believes in Christ. That is, he showed them that if a person was circumcised, but not spiritually circumcised, it would certainly not benefit him. Therefore, it is better to be spiritual and physical than to pretend we have faith in Christ. Let us think seriously about our lives as followers of Christ.
If we are God-fearing, this space should be viewed by observing the rules and regulations. The most important thing is to believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sadly, today worldly life has taken such a toll on its adherents that they cannot be compared to any other nation. The world was so entrenched with the Church that there were members of the Church who are proud and materialistic.
They are constantly found in the houses of magicians, cultists etc. As the Chairmen. Brethren, let us not pursue physical circumcision alone, let us also possess that of the spirit. For everything that is in the world will pass away, but the things of God will last forever. When we come to the Lord, we should be zealous for good works, spiritual things.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Believing in Christ is better than being circumcised.
PRAYER: Almighty Father, I ask you to help me to receive spiritual circumcision through the power of the name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
