– Jimmy Odukoya Succeeds Father As General Overseer At Fountain of Life Church
Actor, Rapper, Pastor and first son of late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, Jimmy Odukoya, has succeeded his father as the new General Overseer of the Fountain Of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos.
The development was announced by the Church’s Board of Trustees, on Sunday.
According to the announcement made by a member of the church’s board of trustees during a live Sunday service, the installation service is set for September 30, 2023.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya died on August 7 in the United States and was buried on September 9 in Lagos, Nigeria.
“Pastor Jimmy is our senior pastor now, and he’s the chairman of the board of trustees,” the board member told the jubilant congregation.
Jimmy’s new position in the church has also received the blessing of Bishop Mike Okonkwo, the spiritual mentor of the late Odukoya.
Jimmy Odukoya, a Nollywood actor, received his education from Oral Roberts University in the United States. He played the role of Oba Ade in the 2022 movie The Woman King alongside Viola Davis and John Boyega. He is married to Oluwakemi Folashade Banjoko, now Kemi Odukoya. Their wedding was in London on March 9, 2013. His sister, Tolu Odukoya Ijogun, is the new associate Pastor of the Church.
