ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET FRIDAY 7TH JULY, 2023

TEXT: JUDE 24 -25

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: THE LORD IS OUR PROTECTOR.

All true followers of Christ throughout the world are privileged because they have One who is His grace has called them. It is not just a call; He attracts them to Him so that they can live a normal life. Jude at the beginning of the letter advised these called, beloved ones of the Lord, to beware of false teachers that come forth. These are what the apostle Paul called "dogs" (Phil. 3: 2). It was therefore, imperative for Jude to make the beloved know that they were saved by the finished work Jesus Christ. Jude did this because he knew false teachers, evil wolves who took the form of sheep while they are wolves (Matt. 7:15), wants the believers to be bad like them in order to destroy the Church of Christ even today. These same teachers are in our midst, trying to destroy us. Brothers and sisters, we need to be vigilant so that they do not deceive us. While we are doing this, let us not forget that the Lord, the founder of the Church, who called us, has the power to protect us from their influence. If we cling to Him, he will give us joy and peace. Sadly, there are many followers who instead of trusting in Jesus have come under the influence of Satan in the hope that he will give them what they want. Some people even take drugs to get peace of mind. This is a delusion. There is no place for peace and tranquility except in Christ Jesus, who has a good and perfect plan for us.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: No peace of mind, except in Jesus.

PRAYER: Lord God, help me to understand that You are protesting me from satanic influence, in Jesus name, Amen.
