ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET TUESDAY 11TH JULY, 2023

TEXT: JUDGES 16: 15 -19

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: SAMSON REVEALS THE SECRET OF HIS STRENGTH.

We have already heard how Delilah used her female strength to know the secret of Samson's strength, but she did not succeed. Today, Samson was tempted by the question, "How can you say you love me when I am not in your heart?" (vs. 15). 

The same is true today of some who claim to be followers of Christ. They say they love him, but they do not give him their heart. When she tried to seduce him, Samson became broken and told her, "I have never had a haircut, for I am dedicated to the Lord." (vs. 17). 

Sad and tragic, it is not proper for a follower of Christ to submit to such circumstances. Because the final outcome of such carelessness will be the same as that of Samson. Brother, of course, friendship with the world is so dangerous that can lead to doom (1 John 2 15-17.). 

Today there are those whom the Lord have called and set apart for His work; but like Samson, they did not see the value or significance of the work. Their lives do not glorify the Lord because they put women's interests first. In life,it will be better for us if we do not allow worldly temptations to separate us from the Lord. We should take seriously the call of the Lord to be His people.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The world is full of deception
