ERCC DEVOTIONAL (TEKAN) DAILY SPIRITUAL DIET THURSDAY 22ND JUNE, 2023

TEXT: Nahum 3:1 - 11

SPIRITUAL FOCUS: THE LORD GOD WILL REVEAL THE EVIL SECRETS.

We often hear about the creation of the universe by the Creator God; and of all that is in them, which is to be destroyed in due time. In today's study, the Lord assures us that no matter how long it takes to hide the secrets of the wicked, one day it shall be revealed. This is a wonderful encouragement. So, let's not give up. For all the plots that are secretly devised against us and all forms of persecution, the Lord God in His power will expose them and deal with them all someday. In the reading today, the Lord uses the Syrians to punish His disobedient people. However, Nineveh, their capital city, will now be destroyed because of the wicked deeds that have been taking place in it (verse 4). With her deceitful lips, Nineveh corrupted the nations of the earth with her fornication. That is why the Lord will scatter her and make her disgraceful and despise her. Even today there are evildoers who maltreat the people, and see human beings as worthless. They think their evil deeds are not visible to anyone. They forgot that God sees and hears all things. Brethren, there is a reward for everything that we do in secret. Therefore, we should stop doing evil because the Lord will expose our secrets, we will be despised, people will shun us and we will become disgraced. Sadly, today our country is in danger of the wrath of the Lord because of evil deeds such as were in the cities of Nineveh, Sodom and Gomorrah. Let us repent, before it is too late.
